We welcome experienced SATB singers who are keen to perform music of all genres to a high standard in an informal environment. Our ethos: CONTEXT Historical, social and environmental contexts of music, and the influence of these on performance, will be central to rehearsals and concerts. They will define the themes of our repertoire each year. COLLABORATION Based in Leeds, the Choir has numerous opportunities to collaborate with other ensembles, composers and charities to promote and support musicians throughout the North. We hope to work with a variety of musicians to develop quality and future collaboration within the Choir. COMMUNICATION No music?! Yes, we will perform without sheet music in concerts. The silver fleet (de Zilvervloot) was an annual convoy of ships in the 16th and 17th centuries, in which valuables from the Spanish colonies in America were shipped to Spain. Since 1998, it has been gathering in Poznań young people from various universities - people who are musically talented, active and open to new friendships and exchange of cultural experiences. The Academic Choir of Gdańsk University of Technology performed at the Second Gala Concert of the 16th edition of the festival. The concert was held in the Adam Mickiewicz University Aula, known for its excellent acoustics. The Choir performed among distinguished performers such as the Academic Choir of Warsaw University, the Academic Choir of Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań, the Choir of Mahidol University from Thailand, and the percussion duo of Piotr and Bartłomiej Sutt.  less
