Many of the members are active and former students of the University of Music, Drama and Medi...  moreThe Junges Vokalensemble Hannover was founded in 1981 by its artistic director Prof. Klaus-Jürgen Etzold. The choir consists of about 60 female and male singers. Many of the members are active and former students of the University of Music, Drama and Media Hannover, but other professions are represented as well, and all singers are united in their wide choral experience and their joy in singing challenging works together. The performance of a wide range of a cappella works, some of them quite unknown, forms an important emphasis of the choir. In addition to sacred and secular a cappella music of the 15th century until today, the choir performs cantatas, masses, oratorios, and passions. Many compositions were broadcast for radio stations or published on CD. The choir has recorded ten CDs and performed several world premieres of contemporary compositions, e.g. by Büsing, Dinescu, Fuchs and Wangenheim. Entre los estrenos realizados por el co...  moreEn agosto de 1995 surge el Coro de Cámara Zahir creado por su actual director Diego Boero con el objetivo principal de estrenar y promover la difusión del repertorio coral de compositores argentinos contemporáneos. Entre los estrenos realizados por el coro, se destacan: Kyrie de Andrés Milá Prats y Ave María de Juan Guerra, presentadas en el Salón Dorado del Teatro Colón de Buenos Aires, durante 2003, año en el que también se estrena el Kyrie de Gastón Sznajderhaus. En 2005, el coro realiza la primera presentación de la obra en tres movimientos para coro y orquesta El jardín y el pantano del compositor Juan Carlos Figueiras, en el marco del ciclo Grandes Conciertos que tuvo lugar en el auditorio de la Facultad de Derecho de la UBA. El 24 de abril de 2007, el coro estrena, en la Catedral de Buenos Aires, el Stabat Mater de Gustavo Fedel para coro y conjunto de cámara, cuya interpretación ha sido grabada en estudio y editada durante ese mismo año. The members of the Ensemble are all amateurs and have the same ideal that their performance can touch the heart of every audience through their well-trained voices. Their repertoires include folk songs, classical songs, musical pieces, pops, and premiere works by renowned composers. In March 2011, Plaisir Ensembe achieved a great success in the “1st Vietnam International Choir Festival and Competition” organized by the INTERKULTUR. They won the Gold Diploma, the Category Winner as well as the Overall Winner of Chamber Choirs. The Ensemble is one of the Top 50 Female Choirs in the Musica Mundi World Ranking List.  less
