Since time immemorial, music, especially Singing, and the word have served to create a connection with the gods, with spiritual worlds. Pleading for Words is a special architecture Of music and the word that outwardly expresses contact between very different aesthetic criteria but glows with the same devout message: a personal spiritual testimony.
The program concept is based on the attitude toward primary spirituality: from intimate thought to more outwardly expressed manifestations. "Shenandoah - the lush a cappella harmonies towards the end had me hitting the repeat button again and again, if only to wallow in the glorious antithetical glissandos in the last measure. I loved that! " Barbara Allen - Pasadena, California USA
Lyrics
’Mid all the traffic Of the ways,
Turmoils without, within,
Make in my heart a quiet place,
And come and dwell therein.
A little shrine Of quietness,
All sacred to Thyself,
Where Thou shalt all my soul possess,
And I may find myself.
A little place Of mystic grace,
Of self and sin swept bare,
Where I may look into thy face,
And talk with Thee in prayer.
