The members of the Ensemble are all amateurs and have the same ideal that their performance can touch the heart of every audience through their well-trained voices. Their repertoires include folk songs, classical songs, musical pieces, pops, and premiere works by renowned composers.
In March 2011, Plaisir Ensembe achieved a great success in the “1st Vietnam International Choir Festival and Competition” organized by the INTERKULTUR. They won the Gold Diploma, the Category Winner as well as the Overall Winner of Chamber Choirs.
The Ensemble is one of the Top 50 Female Choirs in the Musica Mundi World Ranking List. less

Its members are young artists who regularly perform with other significant early music ensembles at home and abroad. They are the participants of several radio, television, and CD recordings.
Corvina Consort performed with great success many festivals (Austria, Poland, Germany, Italy, Estonia, Finland, Romania, Slovakia, Belgium – Festival van Vlaanderen in Antwerp, Canada – Festival des musiques sacrées de Québec, France - Polyfollia 2010 etc.)
The Corvina Consort CD’s numerous international critiques and awards appeared (CHOC Awards, Nomination of MIDEM Classical Awards in Choral works Category, the TOP10 CD’s of the Year etc.)
The most outstanding amongst their work are the Three thematic concert series which mostly determine their ten-year work.

The Society was started in 1960, under Our founder Gerald Brown, and we are still going strong. We are now led by James Gallagher, who has been working with us since 2009. We invite local young soloists and professionals to perform with us. Our repertoire ranges from 16th Century works to those of living composers and covers both major serious and popular works.

Each season, the choir presents fOur or five concerts, incorporating a blend of repertoire from gospel to Sacred to pop to oratorio. Classical highlights include St. Matthew Passion, Elijah, the annual Messiah, Carmina Burana, and Bach's B Minor Mass, which was a crowning achievement for the choir’s 10th and 20th anniversaries. Other popular concerts have featured the musical and comedic talents of Natalie Choquette, the famous and charismatic Michael Burgess, and the stirring sounds of spirituals under the direction of Brainerd Blyden-Taylor, whose own professional chamber choir, The Nathaniel Dett Chorale, headed for Washington to join the celebrations around President Obama’s inauguration. less
