The Games included twenty seven thousand singers from four hundred choirs representing seventy three countries. Dozan wa Awtar, under the leadership of its Founder and Director Shireen Abu Khader, competed in two categories: Scenic Folklore and Mixed Choirs; singing Arabic songs in both and receiving a Gold Diploma in each category. This is the first time Jordan is represented in an international Choral competition. On this occasion, Shireen Abu Khader expressed her immense pride at this accomplishment and international recognition and commended the continuous efforts of the singers which led to this achievement. She also thanked all those who have given both financial and moral support to the choir, as this could not have been achieved without their help. Since 1998, it has been gathering in Poznań young people from various universities - people who are musically talented, active and open to new friendships and exchange of cultural experiences. The Academic Choir of Gdańsk University of Technology performed at the Second Gala Concert of the 16th edition of the festival. The concert was held in the Adam Mickiewicz University Aula, known for its excellent acoustics. The choir performed among distinguished performers such as the Academic Choir of Warsaw University, the Academic Choir of Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań, the Choir of Mahidol University from Thailand, and the percussion duo of Piotr and Bartłomiej Sutt.  less
