The Choir represents a Community of exceptional talent and passion for Music. The East Rand Youth Choir hosts prestigious Choir festivals annually for both high school and primary school Choirs. The aim of these festivals are to motivate and inspire these Choirs in order to achieve true development and innovation for our youth. Many members of the Choir are choral scholars, some are at Music college, and most hope to make a career in Music. Since its foundation by Ralph Allwood in 1984, the Choir have toured extensively in Europe, and have also appeared throughout the United Kingdom at venues great and small, including St John's, Smith Square and some of the country's most glorious cathedrals.  less
