However, music can be made available for those who want it. W...  moreBishop Road Community Choir is open to all in The local community. We are a mixed, non-audition Choir. All songs are taught by ear and we don’t expect anyone to learn The words off by heart. However, music can be made available for those who want it. We sing a range of different songs, including pop, gospel, world music and classical. We mainly sing songs with piano accompaniment, provided by our famous pianist, Geoff. We hold our own annual Concert, and we are often invited to sing at oTher local events such as The local MayFest. Our members come along for “enjoyment, friendship and satisfaction as well as singing with a group of like-minded people”. Singing is reputed to release endorphins in The brain, and we’ve certainly noticed amongst us a sense of well-being following rehearsals and in particular, Concerts. We are a very sociable bunch and often meet for a drink at The Chimp House on Gloucester Road following our rehearsal on Thursday evenings. PG Carnivalesque" under The patronage of Prof. Krzysztof Wilde, rector of Gdańsk Tech, attracted several hundred people who listened to daring performances of popular pop music hits. During The performance we heard Choral arrangements of hits such as: "Dancing Queen", "Memory", "California Dreamin'" and "Maria". This time it was not Mozart or Bach, but ABBA, Queen and songs from The musical West Side Story that graced The walls of The Gdansk University of Technology in carnivalesque musical artistic creations. Jazz musicians performed along with The Choir, and The musical effects were accompanied by a unique lighting arrangement, which required appropriate space and audience arrangement. The more-than-hour-long performance by The Academic Choir of The Gdańsk University of Technology, conducted by Prof. Mariusz Mróz and accompanied by musicians from The Music Academy in Bydgoszcz, ended with joint singing, encores and a standing ovation.  less

All of The oTher songs sound amazing and this one is covered up and sounds like a lower video quality. South Salem High School's Symphonic Choir preforming at The Oregon 6A Choir championships. The fabulous amazing spectacular Carol Stenson is Their long standing director. South Salem took FIRST PLACE at Oregon's State Competition. This was Their second song of four. This whole competition took place at George Fox University in Newburg Oregon. The South Salem Saxons also took first at Their Districts festival in Salem/Keizer Oregon. First Place : South Salem High School 'Saxons" Tied Second Place (alphabetical order) : Canby High School 'Cougars' and Sprague High School 'Olympians' Fourth Place : West Salem High School 'Titans' Fifth Place : Saint Mary's Academy  less
