Most of ex-semble's members come from the Süwestpfälzer Kinderchor. Starting in the children's Choir with voice training and also personal formation, ex-semble works mainly with a-cappella literature of all epoches. From the beginning on, ex-semble has regularly given concerts in Germany as well as in foreign countries. ex-semble's current highlights: Concerts and recordings for radio and television with Westdeutscher Rundfunk (WDR) and Südwestrundfunk (SWR) 1998: Production of the first a-cappella CD Leis' rauscht die Nacht 2000: Gold medal at the International Choir Competition Riva del Garda 2003: Special concerts during the Deutsches Chorfest in Berlin upon an invitation from the Deutscher Chorverband; for example at the Philharmonic Hall in Berlin 2004: Gold medal and category winner of the national Choir festival in Lindenholzhausen; Chri...    less

The Chamber C...  moreThe Cantilon Chamber Choir is Western Canada’s only professional level children’s Choir. Singers in this Ensemble demonstrate a high level of commitment to choral singing and to sharing this art with audiences at home and around the world. The Chamber Choir forms the core of Cantilon’s touring and recording program and participates in many exciting and unique activities throughout the year. The Chamber Choir performs locally in concert at least four times per season, and competes in music festivals at local, provincial and national levels. The Chamber Choir generally follows a three-year touring cycle: a regional tour in year one, national tour in year two, and an international tour every third year. In addition to its regular concert series, the Chamber Choir is often invited to perform with the Edmonton Symphony Orchestra, Pro Coro Canada, Edmonton Opera and the Richard Eaton Singers.  less
