Much of the MUSIC we sing is arranged in the barbershop style. Along with entertaining our local audience KCC competes in the Mid Atlantic District of the Barbershop Harmony Society AND is a consistent champion in our Division. KCC also promotes quartet singing as well as a cappella singing among the youth in our region. Rehearsals are Tuesday evenings 7pm AND are always open for visitors so feel free to visit to find out more AND to see if our group is right for you.  less

Solomons AND Text by Thomas Clarke. This setting for Christmas represents the cold of a Northern winter (the cruel wind blows) although of course the actual events took place in rather warmer climes. It also reflects much of the liturgical AND popular symbolism of the Christmas season: robins, holly etc AND it brings our thoughts towards the season of Easter with the blood of Good Friday.

When Odwa Mvunge return to his birth community in 2012, after completing his MUSIC education studies at Nelson MANDela University, not much has changed. There still was no place in Zolani for the youth to express themselves in cultural activities that was not offered at school nor in the community. After school the youth would loiter around without direction. This lead to the formation of the Zolani Youth choir. The basic idea AND purpose of the Choir is to equip youth of our community with basic MUSIC skills. The Choir consists of 25 scholars from different schools who are between the ages of 12 AND 26 years. These scholars have no professional training or background in formal MUSIC, but have proven to have a passion AND love for the art.
