The choir is in residence at the prestigious Théâtre du Châtelet right in the heart of Paris France. Directed by the American Choral Conductor Scott Alan Prouty, they give concerts throughout France, and have often been used as the model choir for schools throughout France. The choir is known for the variety of it's repertoire going from classical music to french songs to Broadway show numbers.

In May, 2013, composer Ola Gjeilo spent 3 days on the Central Washington...  more"Across the Vast, Eternal Sky" (Gjeilo) performed by The Central Washington University Chamber choir (Gary Weidenaar, director), the Kairos String Quartet, and Ola Gjeilo (piano). In May, 2013, composer Ola Gjeilo spent 3 days on the Central Washington University Campus, joining the choir in recording 4 of his pieces. This performance is from that session. The other pieces were "Sanctus" for a cappella choir, and "Luminous Night of the Soul", accompanied by the composer at the piano and joined by the Kairos Quartet -- the resident faculty string quartet at CWU. The final piece, "Ubi Caritas II: Through Infinite Ages", was recorded both in an unaccompanied rendition (how it is written and published) and in a version with Mr. Gjeilo improvising an accompaniment to the choir. This was Ola's second time on CWU's campus. His first visit was in the spring of 2011 and yielded 5 videos of his music, a wide-ranging interview with the composer and other bonus material. Η επιλογή των μελών της Χορωδίας γίνεται ύστερα από ακροάσεις και οι χορωδοί της εκπαιδεύονται, αφενός στην ανάγνωση και ερμηνεία μουσικών έργων και αφετέρου στην φωνητική διαπαιδαγώγηση. Στόχος της Χορωδίας του ΣΦΜΘ είναι η πραγματοποίηση συναυλιών, τόσο σε συνεργασία με το Μέγαρο Μουσικής, όσο και με άλλους πολιτιστικούς φορείς στην Ελλάδα και στο εξωτερικό (σε εκδηλώσεις όπως κοντσέρτα, όπερα, χορωδιακά φεστιβάλ). It is a setting of the 14th century Eucharistic hymn in Latin "Ave verum corpus" in 1791. Mozart wrote it for Anton Stoll, a friend of Mozart and Joseph Haydn. Stoll was the musical coordinator in the parish of Baden bei Wien, near Vienna. This setting of the Ave verum corpus text was composed to celebrate the feast of Corpus Christi; the autograph is dated 17 June 1791. It is only forty-six bars long and is scored for SATB choir, string instruments, and organ. Mozart's manuscript contains minimal directions, with only a single sotto voce at the beginning.  less
