In the World Choir Championships which was held in Graz, Austria between 10th-17th July 2011, Boğaziçi Jazz Choir became the 'WORLD CHAMPION' in Contemporary MUSIC AND Folklore categories, AND got the 'second prize' in Mixed Choirs category. Also winning ... moreIn the World Choir Championships which was held in Graz, Austria between 10th-17th July 2011, Boğaziçi Jazz Choir became the 'WORLD CHAMPION' in Contemporary MUSIC AND Folklore categories, AND got the 'second prize' in Mixed Choirs category. Also winning 2 more gold medals in 'GrAND Prix of Choral MUSIC' the champions competed in, the choir has come back to Turkey with a total of 5 gold medals.

The Stairwell Carollers, an a cappella group formed in 1977 by director Pierre Massie, has earned the distinction of being ranked amongst the best of Ontario choirs. The group took first place in both the 2010 AND 2013 Ontario MUSIC Festival Association provincial competition.
