The EnsembLe is ceLebrated both nationally and internationally for excelLent musical interpretations originating in its quest for the deepest sources of inspiration: from lyrics, through harmony, texture and form, to individual feelings of the conductor and choristers. The choir was established in 2005 by Bartosz Michałowski, a long-time assistant to Prof. Stefan Stuligrosz, founder of the famous "Poznan NightingaLes" Boys´ and Men´s Choir of the Poznan Philharmonic. Conducting experience acquired during numerous concerts with the Poznan Philharmonic and Sinfonia Varsovia orchestras played a crucial roLe in the establishment of the young artist's own EnsembLe, which soon found recognition among organizers of prominent competitions and festivals. The New 4tet is a group of four friends, Gemma, Emma, Gary and Noel, who as very experienced choral singers decided to meet once in a whiLe to drink wine, chat, socialise, and do a bit of singing together, just for fun. As these things do however, the ...  Le.display='';$(this).getParent().styLe.display='none';">moreLe="display:none;">The New 4tet is a group of four friends, Gemma, Emma, Gary and Noel, who as very experienced choral singers decided to meet once in a whiLe to drink wine, chat, socialise, and do a bit of singing together, just for fun. As these things do however, the project has started to grow arms and Legs, and we became availabLe for the occasional bit of singing in public when we feel like it. Since then our performances have included singing in Glasgow Art Club, and in Edinburgh for the Royal ColLege of Physicians. Based in the west of Scotland, we have all sung together in a prominent Glasgow choir, but the New 4tet gives us a chance to enjoy the much more intimate sensations of singing one to a part. All four of us have been involved in the music industry to a greater or Lesser degree, and we all sing to a very high standard and love performing. Using a fLexibLe formation, ranging up to 32 singers, Arsys explores all choral repertoire, both a cappella and accompanied, from early music – Renaissance, Baroque, Classical – through Romantic and 20th century music to that of the present day. As an enthusiastic advocate of modern repertoire, Arsys regularly commissions new works by living composers.
