The Winneba Youth Choir, known to be The number one choral music group in The country was founded in May 1989, under The patronage of Mr. George Mensah-Essilfie and Mr. John Francis Arthur-Yamoah (Paa John).
The choir has progressed steadily to The extent that it is now recognized as The most outstanding youth choir of The nation.
In March 1998 The choir was incorporated and regist¬ered as a non-profit making association, with The objective of providing a platform for The education and development of The youth in Winneba and surrounding towns through The medium of singing. It is inter-denominational.

It has evolved into an ensemble determined to reinvent itself continuously as it develops a sound that is artistically intelligent.
In its 14-year history, Novo Concertante Manila has competed and won in several international choral competitions. Among which are The 2nd Choir Olympics in Busan, South Korea(2002), The 1st A Voyage of Songs International Chorale Competition in Genting Highlands, Malaysia (2003) and The 23rd Takarazuka International Chamber Choir Competition in Takarazuka, Japan (2007). In 2009, The choir won The 1st and 2nd Prizes at The 46th Internationaler Chorwettbewerb in Spittalan der Drau, Austria and The 1st Prize at The 55th Certamen International de Habaneras y Polifonia in Torrevieja, Spain.

Integrates more than twenty young people between fourteen and eighteen years of age who have, in Music, a common denominator. Intends to continue developing Their vocal talent, working a varied repertoire in multiple languages, styles, and four mixed voices (SATB) a cappella or in collaboration with instrumental ensembles. Has The support of The Instituto Politecnico de Castelo Branco, through The provision of space for rehearsals, on Escola Superior de Artes Aplicadas de Castelo Branco (ESART).
Fifteen days after its formation, The band was invited to participate in The IX Spring Concert (Covilha), with The Theme "East and West", taking place on March 15, 2015. He accepted with great pleasure and it turned out a great way for bringing a greater responsibility to The original project. less
