Musica is an un-auditioned, community choir. We sing everything from Schubert to Gospel. We love to challenge ourselves and try new things. We come together every week because we LOVE to make music together and we love the way singing makes us feel :)

Our purpose is “to sing, in harmony, a variety of music for the enjoyment of the members as well as to give public and private performances for the listening pleasure of others”. During our musical season (September – June), the choir practices on Monday evenings from 7 – 9:30 PM at BRoadmoor Baptist Church in Richmond. In addition to our weekly practices we usually plan one or two workshops with a choral clinician, as well as evenings with guest directors. We have two major performances per year, a Family Christmas Concert in December and a Spring Concert in May. We are very involved with our community and, by giving benefit concerts, help to raise funds for other organizations such as the Richmond Hospice Society, Canadian Cancer Foundation and Tim Horton’s Kids Camps. Everything is taught by ear and the focus is on having fun and enjoying singing together, rather than achieving perfection. We try to perform a few times a year in the local area at community events.  

We are a lively and fun-loving chorus who sing a Cappella four part close harmony. Based in Winchester, the chorus currently has about 40 members of all ages who come from across Southern Hampshire. Based in Winchester, the chorus currently has about 40 members of all ages who come from across Southern Hampshire. We continue to meet regularly via Zoom while we're unable to gather face to face. the chorus has competed locally, nationally and on occasion internationally, as well as entertaining local audiences at public and private events. We are an unusual choir singing Afro Cuban Songs accompanied by traditional Afro Cuban Percussion. We come from all over the globe, we are aged between 17 and 67, and share the fact that we all live in London and love this traditon
