Recorded at the First United Methodist Church in Tucson, AZ on May 6th, 2023. Full text: "SHow me eyes like scars to soothe and seethe the thoughts thrice far and smoothly breathe calm vision light - ajar and free, this vision gift that's Deep as dust, and hard as feather leaves; sweet nectar light of lust and color brilliance; this stroke of sight's delivery." Program notes: As I was searching for text for a new composition in 2019, I stumbled upon a long-time friend’s poetry book and devoured it. Emanual Wolff’s MooNlight Howling spoke to me in its dark corners, surrealist takes on reality and visceral accounts of battles with mental illness and the struggle of existence therein. Forgiveness especially so; the first stanza of which painted an image of loss, of regret, and of reconciliation. My composition then took on a programmatic aspect – coming ... is).getParent().getPrevious().style.display='';$(this).getParent().style.display='none';">less

Unfortunately, a ladybug lands on her neck, However, which distracts him. He then removes the ladybug, but sadly the kiss flies off forever! Gloria! 2 "For know, a blessed mother thou shalt be all generations laud and honour thee, thy son shall be Emmanuel, by seers foretold; most highly favoured lady." Gloria! 3 then gentle Mary meekly bowed her head; "To me be as it pleases God," she said. "My soul shall laud and magnify his holy name." No grief of night can weigh Against the joys that throng thy coming day. Sleep, little heart! there is no place in Slumberland for tears: Life soon enough will bring its chilling fears And sorrows that will dim the after years. Sleep, little heart! II Ah, little eyes Dead blossoms of a springtime long ago, That life's storm crushed and left to lie below the benediction of the falling snow! Sleep, little heart That ceased so long ago its frantic beat! the years that come and go with silent feet Have naught to tell save this — that rest is sweet. Sleep, little heart. http://www.choirplace.com/profile/Nathaniel Matthew Curtis https://choraltracks.com/ is).getParent().getPrevious().style.display='';$(this).getParent().style.display='none';">less

Written and composed in 1985 for the Shin-yu Kai Chorus, the song captures the Moment when one finds oneself straddling both uncertainty and optimism while thinking about the future. Takemitsu’s signature sound, featuring rich harmonies colouring melodious refrains, shines through in this conversational and thoughtful piece.
