Composed of about forty members, our group p...  moreOur association is situated in Saint-Martin-Vésubie, in the heart of the National Park of the Mercantour, in the southern Alps, north of Nice in the south-east of France, 50km from the seaside (Côte d’Azur). Composed of about forty members, our group presents itself either as a women’s choir, or a men’s choir or mixed choir. Our repertoire is varied and original : Renaissance, classical, traditional or more contemporary rhythms such as jazz, afro-latino, or contemporary songs. We celebrated in 2015 the thirtieth birthday of our association which has a long experience in exchange and sharing around choir singing. We hAve organized several festivals, masterclasses and various exchanges and thus contributed to the promotion of our region, the «département des Alpes-Maritimes» and to the development of choral singing (see examples below). Since its foundation in 2007, the Bremen based ensemble has been putting its own spin on the world of music, with interpretations that continue to surprise their audiences. Six male solists present the deep yet humorous side of vocal music. Their clarity in sound and expression, the abillity to let music speak for itself, sets them apart. Their individual artistic skills and personalities harmonize into a one of a kind ensemble! Pro Vocants musical interpretation has been well received all over, earning them a third placing at the German A cappella Contest 2012! We dedicate it to all who hAve passed through war, both in the past and unfortunately now, in the present. We also sing it for those within our communities that hAve recently lost a loved one. It has been such a difficult time to be grieving. We sing it for you to remember the best times, the friendship and the comradery and most of all, for the love that you shared together. Swan. foreward: Santiago Veros wrote Almas de Barro at the age of 19, dedicating it to a young woman who at the time was shy and with whom he rarely talked. This piece intimately describes the moments during music theory classes when the two would look at each other continuously, youthfully, and silently, as if unable to do anything else. The piece, written as a counterpoint assignment, was intended to be performed during music theory class as a declaration of love. The idea was to make a musical representation of those moments.
