They specialise in modern musical theatre and performance but also sing other genres including pop and gospel. The choir's music is arranged by choir leader Nicole Dawson who is a trained composer and arranger. Rehearsals are every Wednesday at 7.30pm at Priory Hall, Christchurch and the choir perform regularly all over the South Coast. New members are currently being accepted for the summer term 2016, entry is by informal, private audition. class="view_more">Composer/pianist Ola Gjeilo joins the CWU Chamber Choir (Gary Weidenaar, director) in presenting Gjeilo's "Ubi Caritas". In mid-April, 2011, Ola spent 3 days on the Central Washington University Campus for a project in which he joined the choir in reco...  class="view_more_link" href="javascript:void(0);" onclick="$(this).getParent().getNext().style.display='';$(this).getParent().style.display='none';">moreclass="view_more" style="display:none;">Composer/pianist Ola Gjeilo joins the CWU Chamber Choir (Gary Weidenaar, director) in presenting Gjeilo's "Ubi Caritas". In mid-April, 2011, Ola spent 3 days on the Central Washington University Campus for a project in which he joined the choir in recording 3 of his compositions. On this video, Gjeilo adds an improvised accompaniment (in a one-take rendition) to his setting of the Ubi Caritas text -- which is published as an unaccompanied piece. Coffee chocolate, and cafe au lait Ivoried-saffron and saffroned-ivory, Bronze and brass, copper and rose gold, Tea and pale butter, golden almond, Infinite varieties of browns and tans, Pale rose, pink, and soft rose cream, Mahogany, oak, cedar, and champagne. These are the colors of people I see, Not black and white, not yellow and red. Those false colors no longer will do.
