The heart of Dozan wa Awtar Music Establishment is singing and community building. Major activities revolve around three groups: Dozan wa Awtar Singers, Dozan and Atfal Dozan. Dozan wa Awtar Singers is an innovative large community choir ranging from 40-60 singers that performs three main concerts a year. Their repertoire includes a wide variety of genres including classical, musical theater, Arabic and world music . The U Chamber Choir performs numerous works by conductor Barlow Bradford, an active composer and arranger, as well as private commissions by other renowned composers. The Chamber Choir often collaborates with other ensembles, both from the School of Music and off campus, including Dr. Bradford’s professional choir, the Utah Chamber Artists. Students in the U Chamber Choir participate in the highest quality choral experience, advancing their vocal technique, knowledge of choral repertoire and musicianship. The World Youth Choir session 2012 was held in Cyprus from August 7th to September 1st, 2012 thanks to the cooperation between the Foundation World Youth Choir and the Cyprus Symphony Orchestra Foundation - Cyprus Youth Symphony Orchestra, supported by the Ministry of culture and education - Cyprus presidency of the European Union (cultural events in 2012).
