Director, Pierre Massie, has composed many original pieces for the choir, as well as creating lively and contemporary arrangements of traditional carols. The release of their first CD Qui creavit celum, celebrated the Stairwell Carollers' 20th anniversary in 1997. In 2000 they released I Saw a Swete Semly Syght and in 2003 Mourning Dove. Their very first madrigal CD, Audite nova, was released in October of 2006 and their fourth Xmas CD Laudemus cum armonia in 2009. 2012 marked the release of their first CD of sacred songs from the Renaissance, Cantate Domino, Their fifth Xmas CD O magnum mysterium is now available for purchase. Winner of the 2010 OMFA provincial competition, they are ranked amongst the best of Canada's choirs. The rehearsals include popular songs, Music from the shows, and many more styles, and will help with learning to read Music as well as learning to sing in new and different languages. We gather members from all areas of Hertfordshire so whether you are in Hitchin, Stevenage, Letchworth, Welwyn, Ware etc you are welcome to come along. As There were some issues with the video footage on every performance anyway, decided to turn that into an opportunity to show...  is).getParent().getNext().style.display='';$(this).getParent().style.display='none';">moreisplay:none;">The Vocal Art Ensemble of Davis, California, in their performance of Will Whalum's arrangement of Betelehemu throughout Ireland. As There were some issues with the video footage on every performance anyway, decided to turn that into an opportunity to show off what the piece looked like in the variety of venues on the tour. Uses the Darbuka purchased at Watermelon Music in Davis!! :)
