The lessons a young boy learns while working with other young boys to accomplish what seems impossible will last a lifetime!
Our mission is to create a BoyChoir that over time will become one of the finest in the country. The United States doesn't have the history of boy Choirs that many European countries do but we can accomplish great things by educating boys in the art of singing and performing the finest music in the boy Choir tradition.
Teaching young boys the commitment and work necessary to accomplish a goal develops character, discipline, leadership, global awareness, and a strong commitment to excellence.
The Fortis Boy Choir can and will accomplish these goals. We will help boys to feel good about what they can be and take these lessons with them into their future families and businesses. less

The Choir is currently made up of Ryerson undergraduates and alumni, current and retired faculty members and people from all ages and walks of life in the Community. It ranges in size from 60-80 members. A core of long term members makes it possible to maintain high standards and perform a demanding repertoire.
Under Matthew's direction, the Choir has performed over 50 concerts and on several occasions performed at Ryerson graduation ceremonies. In 1986 the Choir competed in three categories at the Kiwanis Festival, winning first place in two categories and receiving high marks in all three.
The Choir continues to perform two major choral works per season in at least two concerts accompanied b... less
