Napa Valley Chorale is preparing to celebrate its 50th anniversary in 2013-2014. Members of the Choir are auditioned, multi-generational, and range in age from 17 to senior citizens. Performance music includes a wide variety of musical styles. Performa... moreNapa Valley Chorale is preparing to celebrate its 50th anniversary in 2013-2014. Members of the Choir are auditioned, multi-generational, and range in age from 17 to senior citizens. Performance music includes a wide variety of musical styles. Performances take place in local churches, theaters, etc. The Chorale programs two rehearsal and concert seasons each year. Artistic Director & Conductor Jan Lanterman and Associate Conductor Jason Nett conduct rehearsals and performances.

It took part in Choral competitions, celebrations, weddings and commemorations. The Choir sings mostly a cappella and its repertoire ranges from sacred and spiritual music to popular music and from 16th century polyphony to Choral works by contemporary authors, focusing especially on Italian composers. less
