During choir recruiting There was no audition, skills assessment or notes reading required. Positive energy and desire to sing was all that mattered. Conductor Ewa Robak, PhD agreed to lead this unusually formed group. Her professionalism helped overcome doubts and proved that amateur singing can astonish both performers and Their listeners.
This exciting and full of surprises adventure continues today with well-received concerts, charity performances and Piesniobrania – sing-alongs with city residents joining Antidotum in squares and concert halls.
The Choir’s repertoire includes choral classics, adapted folk songs, unconventional arrangements of contemporary pop songs, as well as patriotic and religious pieces.

Its creative efforts and dynamic development in 1999 permitted The choir under The sponsorship of t... moreThe POKROFF (translation: Protection of The Virgin Mary) Chamber Choir was set up in 1993 by its director and trumpeter Andrey goryachev as a church choir. Its creative efforts and dynamic development in 1999 permitted The choir under The sponsorship of The Voice of Russia Radio Company to record its first CD – “Divinity in Sound”.
Two more CDs were recorded in 2003 and 2005, devoted to Christmas and Easter. Since 2000 The choir began touring not only in Russia but also abroad, visiting Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Liechtenstein, France, Italy, Ukraine, Moldavia, Croatia, Montenegro, BiH and Estonia.
The choir also took part in television shows in Russia and abroad, such as in The “Bregenzer Advent” in 2002.
