He moved to Tel-Aviv in 1933, and soon became a leading figure in the musical life of Palestine and the State of Israel (from 1948). Ben-Haim regarded his work as part of a wide-spread effort to synthesize Eastern and Western traditions.

We are based in Oxford and many of our younger singers have gone on to sing professionally in London. We sing a wide range of classical repertoire, from Gregorian Chant and Renaissance polyphony to contemporary works, many written by John Duggan. We have recorded two discs for The Gift of Music and give concerts in Oxford and London, as well as making regular trips to France and Italy.
