Our Holiday...  moreThe Connecticut Master Chorale, founded and directed by Tina Johns Heidrich in 1999, is a premier Ensemble of 55 professional-caliber Vocalists with a precise blend and balance. We present two performances per season in Western Connecticut. Our Holiday Prelude Concerts are accompanied by The Connecticut Master Chorale Holiday Brass, and our Spring Concerts are accompanied by The Connecticut Master Chorale Orchestra. In addition to The regularly scheduled performances, our accomplishments include a Christmas Concert at The White House, a U.S. premiere performance at Lincoln Center, three Carnegie Hall appearances, as well as concerts at West Point, Madison Square Garden, and with The Ridgefield Symphony - all by invitation. We won The annual McDonald’s Gospelfest Competition three years in a row and have appeared on ABC TV. Our recordings have been featured on WMNR Fine Arts Radio in Connecticut.  less

The enthusiastic group of singers from Lucerne and its surroundings is lead by young conductor Andreas Felber. molto cantabile was soon recognised by The Swiss audience thanks to Their success at various competitions. In 2005 The Ensemble won The audience award as well as The special award of The jury of The Swiss Choir Competition in Glarus, while in 2007 it was awarded The 1st place at The Valiant Forum for Young Orchestras and Choirs at The Murten Classic Summer Festival. In addition, molto cantabile has taken part in several renowned international choir competitions where it has proved to belong to The leaders of The international choir scene. In May 2004 The Ensemble took part in The European Music Festival in Neerpelt, Belgium, where it was awarded 1st prize summa cum laude with 99/100 points. We rehearse at The Bundoora campus of La Trobe University, Victoria, Australia on Wednesday nights from 6:30pm to 9:00pm. Our objectives are to rehearse and perform choral music, to participate in InterVarsity Choral Festivals and to do whatever else seems relevant. The Society is a non-auditioned choir, but it has been suggested that we could have a small, auditioned group within The society (perhaps called "Graduate Singers" or such like). AnoTher possibility is that we could sing at graduation ceremonies in Union Hall. AnoTher possibility is a joint concert with anoTher UCS. And what sort of music should we sing? Madrigals? The singers have set Themselves The target to present Their listeners a wide musical spectrum. Their repertoire consists of Vocal music from Renaissance and Baroque to Romanticism to The 20th and 21st century. Important elements are works of Jacobus Gallus, Michael Praetorius, Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy, Francis Poulenc and Rudolf Mauersberger. In addition They also perform with popular music. Music of The “Comedian Harmonists”, “The Beatles”, Billy Joel or The German group “Wise Guys” are also an essential part of Their repertoire.
