Usually consisting of 20 to 24 members, the Chorale focuses primarily on Chamber choir repertoire and tackles a wide variety of styles, languages, and techniques. Chorale membership is reserved for students who demonstrate some level of music-reading ability, experience singing in advanced Choral ensembles, and/or the potential to thrive in a small, advanced Chamber choir environment. During the audition process, careful attention is given to maintaining artistic balance among the sections of the chorus. In addition to performances throughout the academic year, students in Chorale are expected to remain on campus for an additional week after the conclusion of each spring semester to perform in Baccalaureate and Commencement ceremonies and participate in end-of-year touring activities.
