All interested singers are invited to schedule an audition for Wednesday January 28th, February 4th or February 11th at 6:30pm. The ensemble, directed by Jason Asbury, is a community chorus based in Brooklyn Heights. The 75-member ensemble meets in Brooklyn and is made up of neighbors who range in skill from semi-professional to newbies! Concerts include well known and little-known masterpieces of choral literature from Early Music to Contemporary composers and commissions by Brooklyn musicians. Life got in The way. We are now actively trying again to recruit new members. The Renaissance Revelers madrigal ensemble performs medieval and renaissance music in The greater Washington DC metro area. The ensemble has performed at The Maryland Renaissance Festival annually since 1987. Are you a choral singer? Do you like to sing old and interesting music in different languages? Do you like to dress in costume and attend renaissance festivals? We have The perfect opportunity for you! The Renaissance Revelers are looking for singers. All parts are needed, but we are in particular need of tenors and basses. Ability to sight read is not required but is desirable. We perform annually at The Maryland Renaissance Festival with a few gigs also thrown in over The holidays. Rehearsals are on Tuesday evenings in Rockville, MD. Interested? The establishment of The chorus is to build a platform for The youth to promote choral music and realize Their dreams, as well as to organize different cultural exchange activities to promote music and serve The society. In The summer of 2011, HKVC held Their debut concert “Sing Out a Dream” in The Hong Kong Cultural Centre Concert Hall to raise funds to support The charitable work of The Lions Club of Central. In 2012, The chorus organized and performed five shows of a grand scale original youth choral musical “Like. So?”. The musical received positive comments and The chorus was even invited by renowned pianist Ms. Nancy Loo to an interview and performance in her RTHK 4 Radio Program “Cantilena”. The ensemble consists of approximately 24-32 vocalists selected through a voice placement process and performs traditional/advanced choral literature from all periods. Students who have been active in choral ensembles in high school or college are encouraged to audition for this Choir. Auditions for Chorale can take place at anytime to fill necessary spots in The group. Once students are selected for Chorale, They are members until They choose to leave, are removed, or when They graduate. In addition to its regular concert schedule, The Chorale tours each spring (Orlando, ’09; NYC, ’10; Atlanta, ’11, Boston, ’12, Orlando, ’13). A yearly scholarship is offered to people who are successfully placed in The group.  less
