E’ con questa convinzione che nel 1995 nasce il Soul Singers Gospel Choir e nel tempo, Candy Patricia Cauilan, già cantante del Coro universitario “Philippine Madrigal Singers”, tra i più rinomati e premiati complessi di musica polifonica nel panorama internazionale nonchè cuore, mente e direttrice dal gesto essenziale e dal gusto interpretativo adeguato, crea una formazione che ad oggi conta circa 30 elementi. Ad essa va aggiunta una formazione strumentale che riesce ad esaltare tutta la carica prorompente della musica Gospel. By participating in our Choir program, youths not only develop new talents and improve their cognitive abilities, but they also serve as mentors and positive role models for younger generations. Our unique approach promotes intergenerational collaboration and fosters a sense of community, ultimately leading to reduced youth unemployment rates and a decrease in crime rates. The Choir has been a finalist in both the CBC choral competition for amateur...  moreThe Saskatoon Chamber Singers was founded in 1977 by a group of former Greystone Singers (University of Saskatchewan) who wanted to continue singing in a quality choral ensemble. The Choir has been a finalist in both the CBC choral competition for amateur Choirs and the International Choral Kathaumixw in Powell River, British Columbia, and participated in the non-competitive Festival 500 in St. John’s, Newfoundland. It has also been the guest Choir at Saskatchewan Sings, and sang at the installation of Lynda Haverstock (a former member) as Lieutenant-Governor of Saskatchewan. In 2010, the Choir performed at Podium, the biennial conference of the Association of Canadian Choral Communities, held in Saskatoon. The Choir’s repertoire has been rich in variety since its establishment, and Canadian music has always been an important component of its programming.
