It is based on a Czech Furiant (a fast dance with metre shifting between duple and triple time) called "Sedlák, sedlák", which was also sung as a light-hearted and frolicsome song gently poking fun at a corpulent farmer.
the words of the carol are by Malcolm Sargent himself.
Girls and boys, leave your toys. make no noise,
Kneel at His crib and worship Him.
At Thy shrine, Child divine, we are Thine,
Our Saviour's here.
"Hallelujah!" the church bells ring,
"Hallelujah!" the angels sing,
"Hallelujah!" from ev'rything.
All must draw near.

the Snow, composed by Edward Elgar.
Cantores Celestes, directed by Kelly Galbraith with Jef ten Kortenaar and Catherine Chalmers on violin and Ellen Meyer on piano.
the lyrics were written by Elgar's wife, Alice, who was a published author of poetry and fiction. the poem is a romantic Victorian plea for keeping the soul pure:
O, Snow, which sinks so light,
Brown earth is hid from sight
O soul, be thou as white as snow
O snow which falls so slow,
Dear earth quite warm below;
O heart, so keep thy glow
Beneath the snow.
