The choir consists of participants in workshop weeks, which are offered twice a year in different European countries. Overtone singing is a new Vocal technique that allows for singing two tones simultaneously. EOC sings compositions with written overtones as well as choir improvisations and contemporary music. The effect of controlled overtones on The timbre of classical choir compositions is explored with special ear training.  

The ECU Singers is The large choral Ensemble of East Central University. The group consists of around 90-100 singers. The group is non-auditioned and consists of music majors as well as students from various academic areas. The group is non-auditioned and consists of music majors as well as students from various academic areas. The Singers usually perfrom at least one major work per year. The chorus is under The direction of Dr. J. Steven Walker.

The Tour Choir has performed across The world in over 35 states in addition to Austria, Canada, Germany, Hungary, Italy and Switzerland.
