The group is one of Madagascar’s top Choirs and aims for Musical excellence and artistic innovation. Various performances have been given since its debut in major places around the country. ICanto’s repertoire is eighty percent a capella and the Choir interpretes all genres of Classical Music, from ancient to modern as well as rearranged traditional Malagasy Music. The Choir is conducted by Fitah Rasendrahasina.

Concert group counts about 60 people, mainly students, academic teachers and friends outside college. Our repertoire has about 80 a capella works (from medieval to contemporary composers), large sacred forms by Haendel, Mozart and Mendellsohn Bartholdy and 40 carols. We have performed at several festivals and international events (Germany, France, Switzerland, Bulgaria). We are interested in a close partnership with the other Choirs outside Poland (exchange tours and joint appearances)  less

Glasgow Lyric Choir was founded in 1950 as Clydebank Lyric Choir. Following the move in 1983 into the West End of Glasgow the Choir was renamed Glasgow Lyric Choir. ​ Under its present conductor, Julian Evans, the Choir sings a wide repertoire of choral...  moreGlasgow Lyric Choir was founded in 1950 as Clydebank Lyric Choir. Following the move in 1983 into the West End of Glasgow the Choir was renamed Glasgow Lyric Choir. ​ Under its present conductor, Julian Evans, the Choir sings a wide repertoire of choral Music from the Baroque, Classical and Romantic periods and traditional Scots and Gaelic songs. We are a mixed voice Choir numbering around 30 at present. ​ We gave two concerts in Glasgow during the 2017-2018 season: in December we presented a Christmas programme and in June we gave a concert featuring a selection of Music from the movies. However, in April we also gave two concerts in Italy, the first in Barga (including a Vivaldi Credo and Scottish songs) and the second in Milan where we joined forces with Canti Corum to sing Dvorak’s Mass in D. ​ Choir members enjoy many social as well as Musical events together.
