M.I.C performs many kinds of music genre such as Hymns, Choral Anthems, CLassical music and contemporary music. M.I.C has its mid-year annual Choral program dubbed Marvelous Praise which features lots of choirs to perform with them on many kinds of music genre. M.i.C also has its end of year music program dubbed Vespira which is entirely music and prayers featuring other choirs as well. M.i.C has performed at over 500 functions in Ghana since its existence. M.I.C performs at functions such as Choral festivals, Church services, Weddings, and other music functions. It was founded in 1898 by Albert Frommer, organist, and is now conducted by Stephan Nicolay, chapel master, since 1999. The choir sings each sunday and on special occasion in the different churches of Cannes. It also sings 4 to 6 Concerts a year, sometimes with an orchestra. His repertory covers all the sacred music from gregorian chant to 21st century. Our performances offer something for all tastes with an eclectic mix of folk, opera, pop, sacred and cLassical pieces. The choir selects a diverse range of music music which is both familiar and new to our audiences enabling us to touch on as many different styles and genres as we can. We are always keen to hear from potential new members. You don't need to be able to read music and many of our members have not sung in a choir before. As long as you can sing in tune and are willing to learn, then you are half way there.
