The University of Pretoria Youth Choir is a multi-cultural Choir consisting of 90 members aged between 14 and 19 years and representing 33 Secondary Schools in the greater Tshwane area.
They are all amateur singers. The Choir forms part of the multi-Choir model of the University of Pretoria, the others being the UP Jacaranda Children’s Choir, UP Camerata.

This smallest and most select of the Hofstra Choirs comprises the best singers at the University, both within and outside the Department of Music, and focuses on the distinct art of unaccompanied, or a cappella, ensemble singing, presented in carefully chosen performance spaces that are uniquely attuned to celebrate the human voice's potential.
From an educational standpoint, the ensemble serves two main functions for the University. First, it acts as a laboratory for Hofstra’s future music educators, both undergraduate and graduate, providing outlets for the exploration of the art of ensemble preparation through the study of the highest-quality choral literature. Inclusive is the word which probably best describes Open Arts Community Choir. It features people with disabilites and those without, from every section of the community in Northern Ireland. The age range is extensive, from seventeen to over seventy but most importantly members are united by their love of singing.
The Choir is from Belfast Northern Ireland and is conducted by Beverley Whyte.

The University Chorale is the touring ensemble for the choral department. The ensemble performs a wide spectrum of the finest choral literature. The group performs extensively throughout the Southwest and will be singing at several venues in Washington D.C. during December of 2013. The group primarily consists of vocal music majors, however, there are singers representing several other academic disciplines. The University Chorale has been under the direction of J. Steven Walker since 1984. Dr. Walker is the Director of Choral Activities and a Linscheid Distinguished Teaching Professor at East Central University. He has served on the music faculty at ECU since 1983. less
