The Embro area is well known for having very talented people and we have added to the Embro talent with people from Woodstock, Ingersoll, Thamesford, Cambridge, London. Our goal is to make a great choral sound by learning and working together. We sing both the classics and the fun songs but our chief goals are that we have FUN while being of service to our communities!!!  less

Singing everything from religious works to jazz, Jubilate has enjoyed a 15-year run of exciting, fun-filled, wide-ranging performances while, at the same time, working with community members and local schools to bring choral music to all those who enjoy it so much.

Peut-être aurez-vous envie de prolonger cette rencontre et de partager avec nous cette passion de la musique que nous vivons depuis 1971. Composé de près de cent choristes issus de Meudon ou de communes voisines, le Chœur de Meudon a pour objectif la diffusion d'œuvres chorales sacrées ou non de toutes époques, du Baroque au XXème siècle, au rythme d'environ deux programmes par an. Le Chœur de Meudon se produit avec des formations orchestrales professionnelles ou amateur tant à Meudon que dans de grands lieux : églises de La Madeleine, Saint-Louis-en-l'Ile, Saint-Roch, Salle Gaveau, Atrium de Chaville, Cathédrale d'Evry... The composition is divided into two repeated sections. In the first section, the choral texture is homo-rhythmic and in the second section, the voices are set into a simple counterpoint. “I Never Saw” closes on the dominant chord creating a feeling of suspension that enhances the concept of faith expressed by Dickinson.

Open to beginners or those wishing to improve their technique with industry professionals from the UK. Over 12 weeks students will follow a curriculum tailored to helping each student develop at their own speed in all three areas of the artform. In Singing students will leave voice techniques, explore ensemble singing and perform a variety of repertoire. In acting students will learn how to develop character in scenes and songs, explore the physical journey of a character, improve stage presence and text analysis. In dance students will look at a variety of jazz techniques core to musical theatre dance as well as perform several musical theatre routines. Vox Camerata, has, since its inception, organized and participated in numerous performances. Its maiden recital was held in November 2004 at the function room of the Kg. Ubi Community Center. Since then, Vox has gone one to bring its annual Musica Intimœ series of concerts to the Legends@Fort Canning, as well as the Esplanade Recital Studio. Apart from regular recitals, Vox Camerata also performs in various collaborations with other organizations, as well as guest performs in various events. Vox Camerata has previously collaborated with St. Margaret's Secondary School in the musical 'Anne of Green Gables' which was performed at the University Cultural Centre. The Leeds Festival Chorus was first formed in 1858 (the year Queen Victoria opened the Leeds Town Hall) to sing at the first Leeds Musical Festival, and was reformed for each succeeding one.
