Members of the Choir come from the multi-cultured community around ...  moreAbout the BAVE CHAMBER Choir The BAVE CHAMBER Choir is focus group formed out of the BAVE Community Choir in Kuala Lumpur Malaysia in 2017 to participate in Music festivals and events. Members of the Choir come from the multi-cultured community around the Klang Valley. The BAVE Chamber Choir is part of the BAVE Community Choir. BAVE Community Choir was launched in 2015 as part of BTSM’s outreach to the community. Both the Community and Chamber Choirs are part of the Broadway Theater Society Malaysia’s activity groups. Members of the Chamber Choir will have to first be part of the main Community Choir. The BTSM is a non-profit organization, formed to promote performing arts in Malaysia by the community, for the community. BAVE maintains a strong policy that “Everyone Can Sing”. The tagline for BAVE is “NO AUDITION & NO EXPERIENCE NEEDED”. The Choir is non-auditioned but members who join will have to commit to rehearsals and group activities. C6 is an auditioned acappella group comprised of singers from Chicagoland Voices. When originally formed, C6 had 6 singers. However, we have fluctuated from 5 - 7 over the last few years.

The objective was to bring about Musical performances...  moreThe LAZ EKWUEME CHORALE was founded in October 1974 with a view to getting together in a small Choir the best available and professionally trained singers in Lagos, the then Federal Capital of Nigeria. The objective was to bring about Musical performances (of choral works by foreign and Nigerian composers) of sufficiently high standard for international consumption, within the limitations of national resources. The CHORALE which has grown in size to over 100 singers has given numerous concerts in Lagos and other towns in Nigeria, including Aba, Abakaliki, Abeokuta, Abuja, Benin, Calabar, Eket, Enugu, Ibadan, Ife, Nsit Atai, Oko, Owerri, Port Harcourt, Umuahia and Uyo. It has performed many times on Radio and Television and has featured on many State, National and International functions. It was the nucleus of the Nigerian National Choir for FESTAC 77. (Www.africanyouthChoir.org) This biennial project is organizing a technical course with cultural exchange during a Summer camp for two weeks in an African country. Then the Choir is prepared to perform in major events in Africa, or to represent Africa in major festivals included in the global agenda of choral singing. The desire is to gather young singers from around Africa for integration through song, to enrich their cultural diversity, to to become messengers of peace on the continent and throughout the world, but also a model of multiculturalism. 40 singers from 10 african countries are selected after testing (16 to 26 years old) and work with an experienced conductor.
