Wis Foreward: Santiago Veros wrote Almas de Barro at the age of 19, dedicating it to a young woman who at the time was shy and with whom he rarely talked. This piece intimately describes the moments during music theory classes when the two would look at each other continuously, youthfully, and silently, as if unable to do anything else. In an effort to stay committed to singing and performing at the highest possible level, we compete each year in a national contest and we also perform our own annual Show to raise our profile in the community. The Southwest Women's Chorus of Temecula, California, presents a medley of songs from "Les Miserables". Many songs are represented and the arrangement by Ed Lojeski is excellent. Our soloists are Adriana Burchard, Alecia Ghilarducci, and Anna Yamasaki.

We have about 25 members currently, but we are gaining new members each year. We put on two "shows" each year to raise funds that benefit the chorus as a whole. We also perform throughout the year at various venues - retirement communities, nursing homes, churches, banquets, and other events.  

2013, the Ensemble won the Choir Competition of Saxony and the Special Prize from the Ministry of Science and Art.
