--Nou Se Limyè-- (We Are The Light)
Children of light, do not stay in the dark;
Truth and Love are stronger than the law.
From the beginning of time the word was spoken:
Darkness and evil had invaded the earth;
Everything was functioning in reverse.
The Lord decided to put order in disorder.
"The Lord said, let there be light: and there was light"
Light in the universe, light in the depths of our hearts.
So many good things in the beautiful flame of this light:
Awareness, development,
Understanding and compassion,
Truth and dignity,
Wisdom and justice,
Liberty and hope,
Love and happiness.
Children of light, do not stay in the dark.
We must shine for all the earth.
We must shine in all darkness.
We must shine, we ... less

Summit High School offer. They have been auditioned and selected from a program of 250
singers and identified as the cream of the crop based on their beauty of vocal tone, musical
intelligence, sight reading ability and academic achievement. They are also instrumentalists,
actors, athletes, student leaders and ambassadors of LSHS. Most importantly, they are
students who are DEDICATED to being the best they can be.
As a result of these High standards, Sounds of Summit has developed a reputation in Lee’s
Summit and around the nation as one of the elite High school level performing ensembles.
We are frequently asked to perform with UMKC’s Conservatory, as well as multiple appearances
at the Missouri Music Educators Convention. We are also in High demand with community
groups for performances around Christmas time. Most recently we were given the

April 21, 2017 - Walt Disney Concert Hall
The Los Angeles Master Chorale has proudly presented its annual High School Choir Festival for more than 25 years. In 1989 we began the great tradition of offering students a chance to deepen their exposure and understanding of the choral art through a year-long experience leading up to the celebratory Festival Day. We partner with selected High schools for a year of fun and memorable musical experiences as choir students work collaboratively with their peers from around the Southland.
The 2017 Festival culminated in a monumental performance at the awe-inspiring Walt Disney Concert Hall. Choir students from 29 schools joined together to sing as a massive ensemble, experiencing the power of choral music under the direction of Grant Gershon, Artistic Director of the Los Angeles Master Chorale. less

we are a community youth choir program in Prince William County for middle School, High school and young adult singers.
We have fun as we build friendships with singers from many schools, sing a wide variety of music and bring joy to the community. We are ideal for singers who want more singing in their life!
We are proud of our alumni singing at NOVA, NYU, JMU, UNT, Bridgewater, Longwood & Westchester.
