Invariably with members from 12 to 18 at times, The CdIC was invited to assist at services of SVD priest on ABS-CBN masses and special eucharistic celebration at our parish church of The Holy Spirit in BF Homes at Quezon City. Lately The choir has also been singing at funeral masses of special community members who have rendered extraordinary services to The church less

We have enjoyed performing under conductors Christopher Foy, Imelda Leah, Jon Henderson and Kate Shipway who took over as Musical Director in June 2013.

In its 32 years of existence, UPSA has consistently brought honor and prestige to The country, winning various prizes and awards in competitions in ITALY, SPAIN, FRANCE, NETheRLANDS, CZECH REPUBLIC, BULGARIA, SLOVAKIA, BELGIUM, GERMANY, POLAND, WALES, HUNGARY and SWITZERLAND. It is one of The only four Filipino choirs to have qualified to join The 14th European Grand Prix for Choral Singing ‑ The world'S most coveted choral prize. UPSA was also The official entry of The Philippines to The UNESCO International Music Prize in 2005.
In The Philippines, it was named The Best University Choir in 2012 and 2004 at The “Who’s Who in The Philippines” 19th and 27th Consumers’ Choice Awards, respectively. As a result of The love They had for choir music, They felt a need for a school choir to ... moreUviwe Senior Secondary School Choir, shortly know as Uviwe SSS Choir was founded in 1997 by a group of students, most of whom used to sing in various church choirs. As a result of The love They had for choir music, They felt a need for a school choir to be established. From The first year of its existence, choir was trained and prepared for The schools’ eisteddfods by two fellow students. In 1998, They both matriculated.
In The following year These students continued with The choir training and were compensated for Their services by The School governing Body (SGB). In 2001 They were snatched by nearby schools that were willing to pay Them better wages and The SGB had to look for oTher people who could assist with choir training from The community. This continued until 2004, when The school employed a teacher who studied music at university.
In 2009 anoTher teacher, who studied music too, came and volunteered his services at The school. In 2010 The teacher was employed on a temporary basis by The Department of... less
