This was the first group to become active at Academia Concerto in 2005 and during this time has made significant projects such as the participation in the Opera "Il Capulletti ed Il Montecchi" by Bellini, with first complete performance in Brazil in São Pedro Theatre - São Paulo, sang the American Musical "Video Games Live" with composer Jack Wall, made a joint presentation with the American choir "BYU Singers", performed Vivaldi’s "Beatus Vir" RV 579 for two choirs and orchestra with Madrigal Mackenzie. In 2011 was Guest Choir at International Choir Festival MUNDUS CANTAT in Poland and held a series of 13 concerts in various cities including the capital, Warsaw. This mixed-voice choral Ensemble varies in size d...  moreOrganized under the direction of Dr. Brady Allred in 2010, the Salt Lake Vocal Artists has become the first professional-level touring and recording choir within the Salt Lake Choral Artists organization. This mixed-voice choral Ensemble varies in size depending on the project from 16 to 40 auditioned Singers and performs a diverse repertoire ranging from the Renaissance to the 21st Century. In its premiere season, the SL Vocal Artists were honored with an invitation to participate in the 42nd Tolosa Choral Contest in October 2010. After a successful concert tour of the Basque region of Spain, the SLVA competed against renowned choirs from all over the world and were awarded First Prize in all four categories they entered, as well as the special Audience Prize. To conclude only its second season, the SL Vocal Artists were one of only 25 choirs and the only American choir to perform at the World Choral Symposium in Argentina following a two week concert tour of the country in July and August. Currently numbering 18 Singers, FCC has a broad repertoire featuring everything from early music and traditional pieces to the works of contemporary composers such as Whitacre, Pärt, Lauridsen and McMillan, and is highly regarded at home and abroad. In 2011, we travelled to Trondheim, Norway, to take part in Sangforening, a major festival featuring hundreds of Norwegian choirs, and were the first ever foreign choir invited to take part. 2012 saw us visit Languedoc, France, where we gave concerts in beautiful old churches in Alzonne and Montréal, near Carcassonne. We are active in radio and television, having featured in many broadcasts of recorded and live services by the Irish national broadcaster RTE, including one recorded in Swords CoI church which was broadcast on Christmas day, 2010 and Easter and Advent services in 2012 and 2013. Every year Dziesmuvara takes part in international or national choral competitions. Since 2013 the choir has travelled to Poland, Lithuania, France and Czech Republic and all around Latvia. Dziesmuvara also participates in the Latvian Song Celebration festivals and occasionally teams up with fellow university and youth choirs to sing together in concerts. The more, the merrier!
