The choir was founded in 2005 by several of St. Therese’s young parishioners, and currently has 53 Singers from 27 different parishes in Archdiocese of Jakarta and 3 parishes in Archdiocese of Bogor. As the number of Singers grows, Cappella Victoria Jakarta evolves to focus on singing Sacred Polyphony music from the end of the 16th century, especially Roman Polyphony music and its various modern interpretations.
Since 2006, Cappella Victoria Jakarta routinely sings Sacred Polyphony music in Eucharistic Mass in St. Therese of Lisieux Parish. The choir has also sung Sacred Polyphony music in several other Catholic churches in Jakarta, Tangerang, Bandung and Semarang. Oh! Freedom, Oh! Freedom, Oh! Freedom over me

Our motto is: "One Choir, One Community, No Divides, ALL Abilities"
The aim of Music Matters and our inclusive community choir projects is to unite all of our members through the universal language of music - regardless of previous musical experience, ability, language, socio-economic status or other barriers which may prevent our members from being able to fully participate in other musical groups.
Our choral projects include: inclusive community choirs for people with and without disabilities, choirs specifically for adults with intellectual disabilities, and choirs for older people, with a particular focus on those with dementia and memory loss.
There are now a total of ten choirs operating in the Dublin area, with more planned for 2015!
