We think everyone can sing and complete beginners, shower singers and pros are all welcome. With No auditions and No requirements to read music it’s all about the enjoyment of singing. We sing for 3 terms a year and each term ends with a Fantastic end of term charity gig, it’s great to be able to give back to the local community whilst enjoying ourselves so much! We sing everything from Queen and Aretha Franklin to Hozier and Florence and the Machine, and have members ranging in age from 20-70, there is really something for everyone! This is our choir's 10th year and we're always looking for new members, so if you Fancy a sing please get in touch. We offer 1 free taster to each new member so you can try the choir out before deciding to join. Ensemble Laude is a community of women united by a passion for choral music and the vision of our Artistic Director, Elizabeth MacIsaac. We celebrate the beauty and resilience of women’s vocal traditions through the ages and seek to share this art form through joyful, soulful, and life-enhancing performances that gladden the heart, lift the spirit, and expand the mind. Ensemble Laude began in 1998 with a group of 12 singers focused solely on medieval music. It has since expanded into a vibrant community choir of over 50 vocalists.
