A perennial competitor on The international stage, The Alliance Chorus has qualified for The Barbershop Harmony Society (BHS) International Competition every year since its’ formation in 1999. Ever “In Tune With Excellence”, The Alliance competed this past Summer in Las Vegas finishing 15th in The world, and in previous years has finished as high as 4th place! In addition to The competition circuit, The Alliance Chorus also has had many opportunities to give back and perform for The community. Chantage won The BBC Radio 3 Choir of The Year competition in 2006, recorded live with Elbow at Abbey Road Studios in 2009 and is frequently featured on Classic FM and BBC radio. Chantage performs a wide range of repertoire, programming works traditionally performed by English chamber choirs alongside lesser known works sourced from foreign choral cultures. Chantage was formed in 1999 by its Musical Director James Davey, and quickly established itself in London as a stylish and energetic young chamber choir.
