Our mission as an ensemble is to connect with the community and each other through the exploration of quality choral Music, including the promotion of women composers, within an engaging, encouraging, and intergenerational environment focused on healthy vocal technique and artistic excellence. We encourage those with children to join us as we have a tandem youth choral program (Consonare Youth choirs) that rehearses at the same time.  less

With a membership of 65-70 Musicians from throughout the campus, this ensemble is quickly becoming recognized for its Musical excellence. Recent concerts have included Johann Sebastian Bach’s Lobet den Herrn, alle Heiden, Samuel Barber’s Reincarnations and Benjamin Britten’s Rejoice in the Lamb. Strong sight-reading skills and Musicianship are important to membership. This ensemble is directed by Dr. Jonathan Babcock, associate director of choral activities. Modern Belarusian Music takes a large part of our repertoire, thanks to that we are happy to open Belarus to other nations.
