Mixed Choir "Petko Stainov" became one of the leading ensembles not only in Bulgaria. It is prizewinner of many international competitions: Aretzo,Italy - 1980 - 1th Prize; Varna, Bulgaria - 1985 - 3th prize; Ihlava, Czech - 1987 - 3th prize; Preveza, Greece - 2000 - 2nd prize and silver award; Musica Sacra - Praque,Czech - 2001 - The golden award. Directed by David Skinner, Alamire has embarked on an ambitious ten year 30-disc project to record a library of early English choral music. Skinner’s performing editions will be published by Edition Peters. He is also guest blogger on renaissance repertoire for Eric Whitacre.
