They also tour extensively, and have performed in US, Canad...  moreThe Southend Boys' Choir was formed in 1972 and the Girls' Choir in 1988. The Choirs perform regularly in major London venues including Royal Albert Hall, and sing with professional orchestras. They also tour extensively, and have performed in US, Canada, Australia, Singapore, Seychelles and across Europe. We welcome visiting Choirs and enjoy joining with other youth Choirs in concerts. We have a training Choir for younger singers, and a Choir for boys whose voices have changed.

Music from every music epoch will be performed from serious to more pop/contemporary a cappella forms. This ensemble is offered every fall and spring semester, and satisfies the fine Arts requirement when enrolled for a minimum of three semesters.

This traditio...  moreThis chorus is well-known for everyone who ever sang in the MEPhI Male Choir, since from the beginning of the Choir (in 1956) it has always been among the first pieces for the Choir newcomers (along with "Hunters' chorus" and Gaudeamus). This tradition caused another one: in the end of each Choir's anniversary concert, all the former choristers being present among the audience come to the stage and sing these famous choruses together with the main part of the Choir. The group is non-auditioned and consists of music majors as well as students from various academic areas. The Singers usually perfrom at least one major work per year. The chorus is under the direction of Dr. J. Steven Walker.
