In the fell clutch of circumstance I have not winced nor cried aloud. Under the bludgeonings of chance My head is bloody, but unbowed. Beyond this place of wrath and tears Looms but the Horror of the shade, and yet the menace of the years Finds and shall find me unafraid. We are based in Oxford and many of our younger singers have gone on to sing professionally in London. We sing a wide range of classical repertoire, from Gregorian Chant and Renaissance polyphony to contemporary works, many written by John Duggan. We have recorded two discs for The Gift of Music and give concerts in Oxford and London, as well as making regular trips to France and Italy.  

Chorale Acadienne is a vocal ensemble made up of people from our community who have been auditioned and are committed to the rehearsal and concert schedule set forth each season.

In May 2014, a concert entitled: “The CWU Choirs and Friends sing songs of Singh” was presented on the CWU Campus. In that concert, 28 of Singh’s pieces were performed by 6 Choirs, including two invited guest high school Choirs. Known for compositions such as Johnny Said No, and Medieval Gloria- this concert included those accessible compositions as well as some of the more challenging pieces, like this one. As of 2014, the CWU Chamber Choir also has recorded videos of the Music of Gjeilo, Byrd, Gretchaninoff, Monteverdi, Muehleisen, Victoria, and Rautavaara on YouTube.
