Besides its regular concerts in Bogazici University, they also performed in cities such as Ankara, Canakkale, Afyon, Denizli, Izmir, Antalya, Mugla, Sakarya, Kocaeli and reach their voices to people in the country. Some of the significant performances of the Choir can be listed as Ankara Polyphonic Choir Festival, Afyon Classical Music Festival, Austrian Consulate Culture Office New Year Concert, Jungend Musiziert Competition Opening Concert, Istanbul International Choir Days (2008, 2009, 2010, 2011) In year 2007 announced as ''Mevlana (Jalāl ad-Dīn Rūmī) Year'' by UNESCO, the Choir prepared the repertoire including the works of Mevlana and Yunus Emre. In this context, the Choir performed in Musicateneo Festival Opening Concert with the theme called ''Journey to Absence'' and share thoughts, feelings and wishes of historical turkish figures with the audience, in a musical way. The Chorale is the premier, choral ensemble of the University. The ensemble consists of approximately 24-32 vocalists selected through a voice placement process and performs traditional/advanced choral literature from all periods. Students who have been...  moreThe Chorale is the premier, choral ensemble of the University. The ensemble consists of approximately 24-32 vocalists selected through a voice placement process and performs traditional/advanced choral literature from all periods. Students who have been active in choral ensembles in high school or college are encouraged to audition for this Choir. Auditions for Chorale can take place at anytime to fill necessary spots in the group. Once students are selected for Chorale, they are members until they choose to leave, are removed, or when they graduate. In addition to its regular concert schedule, the Chorale tours each spring (Orlando, ’09; NYC, ’10; Atlanta, ’11, Boston, ’12, Orlando, ’13). A yearly scholarship is offered to people who are successfully placed in the group.  less

Founded in September 2000 by a group of friends from the National Youth Choir of Great Britain, the Choir comprises mainly of recent graduates and current students of Durham University, but also welcomes singers from all over the North East, and includes ...  moreFounded in September 2000 by a group of friends from the National Youth Choir of Great Britain, the Choir comprises mainly of recent graduates and current students of Durham University, but also welcomes singers from all over the North East, and includes many of the region’s teachers. In May, the Choir travelled to Italy to take part in the “Venezia in Musica” International Choral Competition. They won first prize in the secular music category, came runners up in the sacred music category, and received the “Outstanding Performance” prize for Bogorditsye Dyevo by Rachmaninov. They have been awarded “Choir of the Day” at all five BBC Radio 3 Choir of the Year regional rounds they have entered, and in 2008 reached the adult category finals in the Royal Philharmonic Hall in Liverpool, alongside the six other best adult Choirs in the country.
