The composition of members is unique in the international classical music world: all members are from one large family: six siblings between 8 and 21 years of ageand the two parents. Artistic leader: the parents, Zita and Vilmos Tóth, but the children also participate in creating musical conceptions and decisions. The parents have been singing in choirs since they were children and have participated in numerous competitions, festivals and courses. The children have also sung in choirs from an early age, usually singing solos. They study singing, musical theory and instrumental music. Our purpose is to promote the miracle of singing and music - that we owe so much - to people. With each passing year we strive to sing more and more beautiful compositions with a higher quality of performance. Born by a group of singers, together with his conductor, Gianluigi Giacomoni, wanted to perform new kind of music in the city's musical scene with a wide repertoire ranging from the elaboration of popular melodies to hits of pop music and soundtracks. The choir Vox Canora sung with the Orchestra of the "Fondazione Arturo Toscanini", with M° Ennio Morricone for his concert in Parma, with M° Helmut Imig for the soundtrack of the film "Fratello Sole" by Luigi Mancinelli. From 2008 choral ensemble Vox canora is directed by M° Monica Lodesani whose first engagement has been the preparation of the Gloria di Vivaldi, in collaboration with other choruses of the city. By engaging in an intense study, could soon join the most important events of prestigious choralcompetitions earning statements in Arezzo and Ravenna in 1978 and 1979 and Gorizia in 1982. The polyphonic sacred and secular music certainly represents the most relevant part of the repertoire that the Polyphonic group “Claudio Monteverdi” successfully brings to churches and theaters both in Italy and abroad. Among the repertoire, we can find 1500’s and Baroque musical compositions by Palestrina, Da Victoria, Gallus, Viadana, Hassler, Monteverdi. Among the Romantic authors, on the other hand, we can find Schubert, Schumann, Sibelius, and Rossini. Concerning modern Polyphonic music: Poulenc, Kodaly, Bardos, Pizzetti, and Orff.
