The biggest surprise was that the arranger, Dr. David Mooney, was in the audience, and made a guest appearance with the chorus at the end of the performance.

Along the way I'd been chatting with a choir member about Pope Francis' Argentine heritage – a setting of text from an Argentine translation of the Bible seemed especially fitting. Each movements of the mass represents one island from Indonesia. Gloria represents West Papua island, with traditional yelling and voice imitation of the traditional nose-flute.
