The choir is an integral part of the Sunday worship service. The soulful reckoning that they are singing for their Lord and Saviour is what drives the choir in spite of the hectic schedules of its members. The Choir has a good mix of youth and experienced members ranging from an age of 14 years and above. Yeah, we don’t have an age limit!
The East Parade Malayalam Choir is recognized as one of the best church choirs in the Garden city and has been invited to perform in various concerts organised by otHer churches, institutions and groups. We thank God Almighty for His abundant grace, blessings and guidance all through these years of our existence.

Since the inception of Ghana Methodist Students Union (GHAMSU) nationwide until 2004, the union had no choir. Hymns and otHer song ministration were handled by Gospel Dynamics in the University of Cape Coast (UCC) Local of the Union. Some GHAMSU members of the 2003/2004 year group who were also part of Gospel Dynamics then thought it wise to establish a choir because the feel of Methodism was missing in the Union. It all started when BrotHer Ernest Morgan Acquah, BrotHer Ebenezer Edem Beble, BrotHer Charles Aaron Adams Ekuban and BrotHer Fredrick Amissah usually meet in the evenings to sing hymns. These brotHers decided to establish a choir in GHAMSU. The then executives did not want to accept the decision of forming a choir simply because they thought the Union was doing alright with Gospel Dynamics. And that forming a new choir will bring tension and competition among the wings. Despite the challenges, we were able to convince some executives to support us. Also, our first lady, ... less

The choir was founded in 1838 by Fredrik Pacius and is the oldest extant choir in Finland. At present, Akademen has around 60 active singers, most of whom are university students. However, quite a few choose to stay in the active choir long after graduation, which makes for a healthy mix of youth and experience. We give concerts regularly in Finland, and travel abroad as frequently as possible. In addition to all the Scandinavian and most European countries, Akademen has been on tour in Australia, New Zealand, Canada, the United States, Hong Kong, the Philippines, and Singapore. We believe that ambitious musical development can go hand-in-hand with tradition, and work enthusiastically to keep alive the dialogue between past and present. less

Owing much to the polyphonic work of the Renaissance, the motet is a deeply-felt work written during Wesley's period of recuperation from a fall whilst out fishing in the North Yorkshire countryside at Helmsley. The chromatic clashes at the words "the bones which Thou hast broken" are almost certainly reflective of the pain the composer had suffered, for his leg was badly broken and he walked ever after with a noticeable limp.
This performance was recorded in Leeds Minster on Sunday 28th April 2013 during the recital of 'Music with Minster connections' sung by St Peter's Singers of Leeds, directed by Dr Simon Lindley.
Leeds Minster, formerly Leeds Parish Church, has a long and distinguished musical history. The list of organists and past organists of the Parish Church of St Peter-at-Leeds is outstanding. 'Music with Minster connections' celebrated both this Heritage and the status of Leed... less
