While the majority of the Singers are undergraduate music majors, membership is open to all students at the ... moreThe Mansfield University Concert Choir is a Highly select ensemble of Singers, representing some of the finest talent from the American Northeast. While the majority of the Singers are undergraduate music majors, membership is open to all students at the university through an audition process. The group has achieved an impressive reputation of excellence, having been chosen each of the last twenty years to perform at conventions or festivals around the country: the Pennsylvania Music Educators State Conference; the Eastern Division Music Educators National Conference; the Music Educators National Convention; the American Choral Directors Association Pennsylvania State Conference, and the ACDA Eastern Division Convention. The choir is renowned on the international stage as well, representing the US at competitions and festivals around the world. The Singers are frequently praised for the emotional spectrum in their performances, their diverse vocal color, and their varied repertoire.

Conwonnité is an amateur choir that, for the most part of its history, has been an adult mixed chamber choir. Founded in 1989 by Mr. Albert Morland to provide an opportunity for ex-members of the Wonderboom High School Choir to continue singing together a... moreConwonnité is an amateur choir that, for the most part of its history, has been an adult mixed chamber choir. Founded in 1989 by Mr. Albert Morland to provide an opportunity for ex-members of the Wonderboom High School Choir to continue singing together after matriculating, it has since evolved to include members from a broader community that come from various backgrounds and professions (including law, accounting, nursing, teaching and IT) and are between 18 and 65 years of age.
The choir has toured and performed across South Africa during the past 30 years and has an established reputation as a warm, friendly and “no-fuss” group with good choral sound who are just as comfortable performing at nursing homes and other charitable events as they are performing alongside the best choirs in the world on International stages, for instance, at the 10th World Choir Games in 2018, where they took home a silver medal (79.5%) in the champion’s category for mixed adult choirs.

Our close knit membership of nearly sixty guys has a strong commitment to vocal and performance excellence. Cottontown particularly enjoy competing in both national and international barbershop competitions.
